New Tool: Guest Blog Query Generator

Find guest blog opportunities with ease

Many of you might have noticed that my 1st guest blog query generator has stopped working last January. It stopped because the tool can no longer pull data from ubersuggest. And I did some investigation; I noticed that ubersuggest now demands for captcha solving in order to be used. Obviously this problem can’t bypass because we are pulling the data via Google Spreadsheets.

ubbersuggest

That is a sad, sad thing – But worry no more.

Just like a movie title, our favorite tool is now reloaded with a more capable keyword generator tool. It now utilizes Google Sets, a Google labs project (Discontinued but still available at Spreadsheets) that allows you to generate lists of similar terms by just typing a few examples.

This helpful tool helps you find hundreds of guest blogging opportunities without getting into so much trouble. All you need to do is follow these simple instructions to make it work:

Get the tool and play with it.

  1. Login to your Gmail first.
  2. Grab the spreadsheet by visiting this link http://bit.ly/gpqueryreload
  3. Go to file tab and make a copy
  4. Follow the instructions in Cell B

To make things easier, here’s a GIF file that demo Google sets.

Hi Jayson, this is the best thing since sliced bread! But I can’t get the Google Sets thing to work. I am following and understand the instructions completely. Its just not pulling in related “sets”. Has Google removed the tool?

I suppose one could use other tools to find related terms and just slap them in column A. But let me know if Sets still works for you.

      Hi Miguel,

Google Sets is still working :)

      1. Input a keyword to A2 (seo)
      2. Input a related keyword to A3 (blogging)
      3. Select A2 and A3, put your cursor on the box like highlight, hold control to A20. (See the GIF demo file)

I hope you can make it work this time :)

You can pull keywords (google sets) even on a plain google doc spreadsheet :)
